Ammar Hammad Khan was born in Ireland in 1998. He was educated at Lahore Grammar School in Pakistan, where he graduated as the class valedictorian with the highest examination marks in the world for Cambridge International AS Level English General Paper. He gained his undergraduate degree in law from Queen Mary University of London in England, where he graduated with Second Class Honours under a full-ride grant provided by the Isle of Man Government. He currently works as an assistant examiner for Cambridge International AS Level English General Paper with Cambridge University Press & Assessment, a department of the University of Cambridge.

Previously, he worked for KPMG in the Crown Dependencies and Barclays Bank PLC. Currently working on a debut fiction novel and a short story collection, he has previously been published by HarperCollins (India), Dreich Magazine (Scotland), TeenInk (USA), Pakistan Today, and Isle of Man Today. He also won a medal for his poetry at The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition, sponsored by The Royal Commonwealth Society. He is a citizen of Ireland, and a former citizen of Pakistan.
